Are you looking for an affordable lipstick that would make a bold statement? Why not the Pinkies Collection Matte Lipstick! I've been craving for pink lipstick recently, and saktong napadaan ako along the Pinkies counter when this one astig pink shade caught my attention. Swatch here and there, and not long after, I already bought 2 shades!
The packaging was obviously inspired by MAC Lipstick and has a frosted matte finish. I don't mind at all if the material feels light and cheap, but one of them cracked, I decided to pull it out and transfer it to another lipstick tube that's almost empty.
It's almost odorless, but you can sniff a little grassy scent from the tube. It has a thick waxy consistency, contains jojoba oil, shea butter, vitamin E, and no preservatives listed.
There are around 6 to 7 ridiculously opaque shades to choose from. I only wish that 1) they'd make an effort of putting the shade names on the bottom label, and 2) they would name the shades correctly. The pink shade is called Rose Red, while the red one is called Pink. I'M CONFUSED, WHAT'S GOING ON?!
The red one looks more consistent throughout the day, slightly fading but still very ruby red. The pink one unfortunately, quickly fades in one hour, just sitting on the lips and not even eating/drinking... imagine your lips with a pink outline and a blue-filled lips after just one hour. That's the bad impression the pink one leaves.
Conclusion: It's cheap and very opaque. Unfortunately, it's very weak for a matte lipstick, fading within the hour. I don't mind re-applying now and then until it runs out, but won't buy one again. For the same price range, you can already get great competing products from other local brands.
