LAMON KRONICLES: Honey's Kimchi in SM North EDSA

November 15, 2014. It was our bloggers' bonding time at Honey's Kimchi in SM North with the super gorgeous owner, Ms. Bry Ramirez. Normally, when we think about Korean dishes they're usually expensive. But if you would look at the price, their authentic Korean dishes are actually very affordable! Oh my, there was a long queue when I arrived... as in dinudumog talaga.

The one most dominant feature of their dishes is the perfect balance of sweetness and a little savory flavor. I can't believe what I just tasted, blissful in every bite -- the meat is super soft (especially the BBQ Belly, don't miss it!) you could just swallow without chewing.

Honey's Kimchi has its own commissary in ParaƱaque so there's always quality check in all of their food. They can cater for events and occasions in case you need one. There are currently 9 branches in the Philippines -- most of them within Metro Manila malls (with one exception, their branch in Bacoor). They really want to spread more love through their food and have plans of further expansion in the future. Which is why Honey's Kimchi is open for franchising. Without doubt, their sought after authentic Korean dishes have established the brand's popularity.

Did you know? Honey's Kimchi was founded in 1973 and they're now at their 41st year as of this writing. In all those years in business, they decided not to do advertising but instead -- to focus on the quality of the food so that customers who love their dishes would spread the word by mouth.

I know you're eager to check out the dishes so here are the food photos! We had the honor to try each of their dishes -- my favorites were the Burger Steak, BBQ Belly, Beef Stew, and the Chapchae.

Tada! Authentic Korean dishes that are swak to the budget and Filipino taste.

Can't dine in a Korean resto without this! Kimchi for me goes well before or after a meal.
It's a great appetizer, but it's also a great dish for clearing the throat after a heavy meal.
